This beach is located on the future site of a world class resort. Even on an island with relatively few inhabitants compared to most in the Caribbean, the sand here was considerably hydrophobic, and there was noticeable erosion on the entire stretch of beach front.
As early as 9 days after our treatment began there was noticeable change in the contour of the beach.
Hurricane Hanna remained atop our beach for two days, pounding it ceaselessly until it finally gave way on a Northward trajectory.
The beach retained all of its sand, as well as a significant improvement in contour.
Merely a week after Hanna, Hurricane Ike landed directly on Rocky Point beach with Category 4 strength winds that peaked at 145mph and brought an immense storm surge.
